President Trump's first public reaction to the cancellation of "Roseanne" is a shot at Disney CEO Bob Iger. "Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that 'ABC does not tolerate comments like those' made by Roseanne Barr," Trump tweeted Wednesday morning. "Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn't get the call?" Jarrett was one of the targets of Barr's Twitter tirade early Tuesday morning. Barr compared Jarrett to "Planet of the Apes" and the Muslim Brotherhood, then claimed she was just joking. The tweet was widely condemned as racist. Jarrett, one of the most prominent African American women in politics, was one of President Obama's top aides. That's partly why Barr attacked her. Barr frequently uses her Twitter account to deride Democrats. Iger and Jarrett did not immediately re...

Ribena waste used by Leeds scientists to make hair dyes

Image
Ribena waste used by Leeds scientists to make hair dyes A natural hair dye based on the blackcurrant waste from the production of Ribena has been created by scientists. The dyes use waste created after the berries have been pressed for juice. A new technique by University of Leeds scientists extracts natural colouring from the leftover skins to make dyes. Dr Richard Blackburn said the berries "represent a sustainable supply of raw material because of how much blackcurrant cordial we drink". About 90% of the British blackcurrant crop is used to make the branded drink, according to the manufacturer. Dr Blackburn, a colour chemist, said the university wanted "to develop biodegradable alternatives that minimise potential risks to health" due to concerns about conventional dyes. The blackcurrant skins have high concentrations of anthocyanins, pigments that provide colour to many berries, flowers, fruits and vegetables. Dr Blackburn said: "...

One among them is the rise of an evil leader in Russia, he claims. Rosenberg made these remarks on the internet talk show, 'Pure Talk'. During the talk, the author has claimed that Vladimir Putin is actually the God of the land of Magog, the evil entity who will wage war against God.
