Massive 7.1-magnitude earthquake hits Peru-Brazil border A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck along Peru’s border with Brazil on Friday nearly 250 km northwest of Puerto Maldonado at a depth of 609 km, the US Geological Survey said. No immediate damage was reported, however, social media users said that tremors were felt across the country. Two strong shocks struck a Peruvian town, northwest of the epicenter, as per the reports. ED filed three chargesheets In the quid pro quo cases against Jagan HYDERABAD: Enforcement Directorate has cleared several pending cases of money laundering and filed chargesheets against the accused companies and individuals as part of the requirements made mandatory due to the amendments to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). ED has recently filed chargesheets in several cases, including case of cheating against promoters of Musaddilal Gems and Jewellers and cases of quid pro quo investments of Jaganmohan Reddy assets and other cases pending with it. PMLA was amended by which ED has to file the chargesheet within 90 days after the adjudicating authority confirms the provisional attachment of the properties. Baby born on coastguard helicopter 1,400ft above Cornwall A baby boy has been born mid-flight on the way to hospital in a coastguard helicopter over Cornwall. Emergency crews received a call on Saturday night to urgently assist a woman who had gone into labour while visiting the Isles of Scilly. There was no midwife on the islands in south-west England, so the family needed to get to the mainland quickly. Baby Torran, who was born 1,400ft (426m) over Penzance, was "doing well", a coastguard spokesman said. The Newquay Coastguard helicopter was scrambled at about 19:00 BST and collected midwife Linda Benson. It then touched down at St Mary's Airport, picked up Alicia and Sandy MacDonald - who were visiting from Inverness - and began the trip to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
