Explosions have been heard coming a chemical plant near the flooded US city of Houston. Emergency workers reported two blasts and black smoke issuing from the Arkema plant at Crosby. During heavy rainfall from Hurricane Harvey, the complex lost the ability to refrigerate chemical compounds that need to be kept cool. There was no way to prevent an explosion, the company had warned earlier. Ahead of the explosions, one police officer who was helping secure the site was taken to hospital after inhaling fumes , while others admitted themselves to hospital as a precaution. A six-storey building toppled over in India's financial capital on Thursday. The building in the densely populated Bhendi Bazaar area was believed to be about 100 years old. Ambulances, fire engines and members of the disaster relief force are working at the site. Mumbai is recovering from heavy rains and flooding. Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport have been suspended temporarily owing to low visibility. Mumbai, which saw rains bringing the city down to its knees in 2005, is set to receive heavy showers in the next 48 hours. The disaster management team and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) are on alert and water logging has been reported in several parts of the city. The BMC helpline number for emergencies is 1916. Mumbai Police has also issued an alert stating that heavy water-logging is expected in the next few hours due to heavy showers and high tide. The police have advised Mumbaikars to check their route before venturing out. Due to heavy rain, Mumbai's locals have come to a grinding halt as Harbour Line (from CST to Navi Mumbai) and Central Line (from CST to Kasara and Karjat) have been shut. Rs 200 notes from RBI coming, Prepare your wallets for new currency notes - after a lot of speculation in the media, the government today confirmed that notes of denomination Rs 200 are indeed on their way. This will be the first time in India's history that there will be currency note of Rs 200d denomination. The Finance Ministry, in a Gazette notification, specified the new currency note. In the notification, the Centre said that the Rs 200 note's specification was being done on the recommendation of the Central Board of Directors of the RBI.  There has been a lot of speculation about the introduction of the Rs 200 note - recent reports had said that the RBI had ordered printing of the notes and that the decision to introduce the Rs 200 note was taking in March.
