Mass shooting situation unfolding at MLK Avenue in Washington DC Child killed, at least 5 others injured after a shooting on MLK Avenue in Washington DC. No arrests made. MLK Malcolm X avenue intersection closed in all directions for an investigation. 5 adults and a 6 year old were shot around 11pm tonight in the 2900 block of MLK Jr Ave SE. That 6 year old has died. The adults are being treated for their injuries. DC Police call the incident “a mass shooting”  DC Police confirm 6-year-old child DEAD here on MLK Ave shooting. Was pronounced dead at an area hospital. 3 men, 2 women, also shot Executive Asst Chief Benedict provides an update on the shooting in the 2900 block of Martin Luther King Jr Ave.  Chief Benedict given a statement regarding this Mass Shooting on the 2900 Block. of MLK Ave. 6 Year Old girl was pronounced dead at a local hospital, along with multiple individuals shot. Severity of there injuries unknown.

Unknown how many are still trapped, let alone even alive.This is a scary scene. There are early reports of injuries.  bridge collapse I-295 prior to Polk St NE. 6 patients assessed, 4 of those were transported. DCsBravest Hazmat unit mitigating diesel fuel leak from truck that is partially beneath bridge. At least 1 other vehicle was struck by debris. Collapse blocks both directions. Authorities say four people were hurt after a pedestrian bridge collapsed in Northeast D.C. The incident happened around 12 p.m. near Kenilworth Avenue and Polk Street.  Standby for further information!
