Police have arrested a man after a shooting at a newsroom in Maryland.
Several people are feared dead after a gunman opened fire on a local newspaper office in Annapolis, Maryland.
Emergency services swarmed the Capital Gazette office amid reports of an "active" shooter on Thursday afternoon.
there were "multiple injuries and fatalities", while one man is believed to have been taken into custody.




Anne Arundel County police reported an active shooter at a newsroom called the Capital Gazette on Thursday afternoon local time.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have also confirmed a shooting incident
The Baltimore Sun reported that Gazette reporter Phil Davis said multiple people had been shot.




The Gazette is owned by the Baltimore Sun, where police were also present, according to the Sun.
People were seen walking out from offices with their hands raised above their heads as police cleared buildings in the area.
