New Delhi: With an aim to augment the number of women constables in the Railway Protection Force (RPF), the Central government has decided to fill up 50 per cent of the 9,000 vacant posts notified with lady constables
The Centre would fill up 50 per cent of the 9,000 vacant constables posts, informed Railways Minister Piyush Goyal in the Rajya Sabha on Friday.
“At present, the percentage of lady constables in RPF is 2.25 per cent. Keeping this in mind, the Prime Minister gave a direction for recruitment.
