India's space agency ISRO launches PSLV-C47 carrying Cartosat-3 and 13 nanosatellites from Sriharikota




India's space agency ISRO today launched the PSLV-C47 carrying Cartosat-3 and 13 nano-satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.



PSLV-C47 is the 21st flight of PSLV series by ISRO. It rests in 'XL' configuration, with 6 solid strap-on motors.

Cartosat-3 satellite is a third-generation agile advanced satellite with high-resolution imaging capability.

As part of a commercial arrangement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) and Department of Space, PSLV-C47 is carrying 13 commercial nano-satellites from the US.
