US REGISTERED Record number of covid-19 cases in past 24 hours

The U.S. recorded a one-day total of 34,720 new confirmed cases, the highest level since late April, when the number peaked at 36,400, according to a database kept by Johns Hopkins University Total cases reached to 2,380,065




Corona virus cases worldwide is expected to hit the grim milestone of 10 million next week, said the World Health Organization, as it warned the virus was yet to peak in the Americas.

The warning was issued as many countries such as India, the US, Brazil, among others, ave been reporting record high daily spike in number of positive cases.




The WHO also expressed concern over the sudden increase of 25-50 per cent cases in a week in the Latin American countries. The experts have predicted that the death toll in Latin America is expected to skyrocket to 390,000 by October.
