WHO announced key priorities for the next 3 months of the COVID19 response

World Health Organisation chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Numbers of cases and deaths can blind us to the reality that every single life lost is someone who loved and was loved by others someone’s mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son. They are the reason we’re convening today.

He mentioned Reminded the Member States that WHO has the unique mandate and capacity to coordinate the global COVID19 response, by harnessing the collective strength of our many partners. And this has only been possible because of them, our Member States.

The COVID19 pandemic is a wake-up call for all of us. We must all look in the mirror and ask what can we do better? Many Member States have come forward with suggestions about how to strengthen the global system for emergency preparedness and response. He added

Tedros said We thank them all! These are the key priorities for the next 3 months of the COVID19 response:
-We must realize the full potential of the ACT-Accelerator
-We must all continue to make the most of the tools we have
-We must ACTogether in solidarity!
