Today, during an unexpected visit to Kakinada Port, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawan Kalyan expressed disappointment over the inaction of certain officials in fulfilling promises made to the public. Speaking to the media, he said, “The visit to this location was not originally part of my schedule for today. However, last night, a significant incident came to light. A vessel named ‘Stella,’ originating from Panama, was intercepted, carrying approximately 1,060 metric tons of illegal rice. This discovery necessitated my presence here to oversee the investigation personally.”
The Deputy Chief Minister further stated that the government is determined to address such issues with utmost seriousness, ensuring that no illegal activities occur under their watch. He reiterated that accountability is a key priority and assured the public that action would be taken against those failing to perform their duties responsibly.
