Traffic Disruptions and Evacuations
Due to the scale of the emergency response, traffic near the busy junction of Globe Road and the A4020 has been severely impacted. Authorities warned motorists to avoid the area to allow firefighters the necessary access and space to operate effectively. The heavy congestion affected nearby routes, creating delays throughout the region.
In addition to the firefighting efforts, around 50 people were evacuated from buildings in the vicinity as a precautionary measure. This action was necessary due to concerns about the fire’s spread and the potential hazards posed by various gas cylinders within the workshop.
Cooling of Gas Cylinders
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a challenging situation involving gas cylinders stored within the workshop. These cylinders posed a significant explosion risk if exposed to extreme heat for prolonged periods. Crews immediately worked to cool the cylinders, using water jets and cooling agents to reduce the risk of further escalation.

Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of the firefighters, the blaze was brought under control before it could spread to neighboring properties. Firefighters continued to monitor the area closely to prevent any reignition.
